Permissions
Exactly what Loyd asks for when you connect an account, and what each permission is for. We request only what the product needs, and your data is never used for advertising or AI model training. See our Google API compliance page for our full commitments.
Calendar, email, and contacts are one connection. Connecting an account grants all three, because Loyd cannot schedule well without the thread the request arrived on, or coordinate without knowing who you work with. Loyd never asks for permission to delete your mail.
Basic profile

Manage calendars

Why we need it
To read your calendar and check availability, and to create, update, and cancel events at your direction.
We will never
Change your calendar without your instruction, use event data for ads, or train AI models.
Read email
auth/gmail.readonly
Why we need it
To read the threads Loyd is working in, so it understands what is being scheduled, who is involved, and what has already been agreed. Loyd can also search your mail when you ask it to find something.
We will never
Send, modify, or delete your mail with this permission, read your mailbox for anything other than answering the request in front of Loyd, use it for ads, or train AI models.
Read contacts
auth/contacts.readonly
Why we need it
To read the people saved in your Google Contacts, so Loyd can build your People directory and let you find and @-mention the people you work with on your deals.

Add, change, or delete your contacts, use them for ads, sell or share them, or train AI models.
Read other contacts
auth/contacts.other.readonly
Why we need it
To read your “other contacts” — people you have corresponded with but not saved — so they also appear in your People directory and can be found and @-mentioned.

Gmail read access is a Google sensitive scope, so Loyd has completed Google's CASA security assessment in order to request it.

To read the threads Loyd is working in, so it understands what is being scheduled and who is involved.
We will never
Send, modify, or delete your mail with this permission, or use it for ads or AI model training.
Loyd also requests offline access, which is what lets it keep working on a task after you close the tab, and it stops the moment you disconnect.
You can disconnect at any time from your Loyd settings, or revoke access directly from your Google or Microsoft account settings.
